Doing The Kindness Walk is exciting, but the dream started with a simple apple. My Father, OC Smith, was known for the Grammy Song “Little Green Apples”; it was written by Bobby Russell. I wanted to honor my father so I started a non-profit to encourage intentional acts of kindness. One day, my agent was tossing an apple up and down, and catching it. He said, I wish we could come up with a way, we could build something around your dad’s song. It was a few days later, we began this journey…never knowing that Little Green Apple would turn into a 1,000 mile journey to make this world a better place.
